The library has so many fun things planned for the whole family this holiday season.

We are so excited to be hosting a winter pop up vendor fair tomorrow, Saturday November 16th with fun activities for the whole family. I hope you will join us!
Next week we have two fun activities for the kids to get ready for thanksgiving. Our favorite storyteller, Strega Mama will be here on Wednesday to share The Night Before Thanksgiving with the story, songs, games and more. On Thursday kids will have the opportunity to make a fun Thanksgiving shaped soap to give as a gift or make the holiday a bit more festive.
Winter Popup Shop at the Library
Saturday November 16th 10-3
Join us for family fun, delicious food, and unique gifts! Support the local economy by shopping small. When you are done at the library you can also visit Crafts by Kelly in the Tavern on the common and the Main Street Mercantile just down the street at 873 Main Street. They have more crafts. local artists and antiques and collectibles.
Thanksgiving Shaped Soap
Thursday November 21st at 4PM
Kids can make some cute Thanksgiving/fall shaped soaps to give as gifts or decorate their bathrooms for the holidays. We will be doing a very simple melt and pour process simplified for kids. There are no dangerous chemicals involved in this process. Join us for a fun seasonal craft.
Countdown to Christmas with Books
One fun tradition some families have is sharing a story every night as they countdown to Christmas. You can get a “book advent calendar bundle” at the library. If you would like us to wrap them for you, you can make a donation to the Friends of the Ashby Free Public Library and they will wrap a collection of 25 books for you to check out and return after the New Year. If you would like a Christmas book bundle email hperry@cwmars.org and we will put one together for you. We can always put together a bundle for you on almost any topic, just let us know.
