Discussion of the Restoration of the Grange Hall Building
On Thursday October12th at 6:30 PM there will be a discussion of the possibilities for the future of the Grange Hall Building. There will be a discussion of the building’s historical significance and the possibilities for the building moving forward. This meeting will be available via Zoom and will be broadcast in the library. Zoom link will be provided closer to the date.
Regular Weekly Events
Story time. Tuesdays at 10AM
Join Jen to enjoy stories and a craft activity every Tuesday morning at 10 AM. Jen designs each story time around a theme with a related craft. This is a great opportunity for kids and their caregivers to meet new friends.
Lego Club. Tuesdays at 4 PM
Join us every Tuesday at 4 PM to make Lego creations with friends. All ages are welcome. This is an unstructured group, late arrivals are always welcome. Kids have the opportunity to display their creations for the whole community to enjoy.
Right Start Play Group. Wednesdays at 10:30
Join Occupational Therapist Denise Lynch as she leads a playgroup for crawlers and walkers in developmentally appropriate play. This is a great opportunity to address any concerns you may have about your child’s development with a professional while your child makes new friends. This is a very active new group. New members are always welcome.
Crazy 8’s Afterschool Fun Math Program. Wednesdays at 4PM
Last week’s Crazy 8’s was so much fun! We are so excited to be moving on to the next lesson. If you signed up and couldn’t make it last week don’t worry you can jump in anytime.
We had lots of little siblings at the library playing with playdoh, coloring and enjoying the sandbox and water table outside while their big siblings enjoyed Crazy 8s.
Art for Everyone Group Thursdays at 5 PM.
This is a standing group of individuals who work together on a variety of different art projects, from Nature journaling to drawing to collage. Vivian Morse and other members of the group help to provide prompts and guidance. New members are welcome.
MarioKart Club Thursdays at 6:30 PM
Join Kierstyn and friends to play MarioKart and compete against new friends. All ages are welcome.

Non-Fiction Book Club
Thursday October 12th at 6:30 PM Invisible Women
Please join us to discuss this revealing look at how women are not considered in the creation of so many things, even though they make up more than half of the population. This book is engaging and infuriating.

Bereavement Support Group
Tuesday October 17th at 12 Noon
The Nashoba Associated Boards of Health welcomes adults who are experiencing grief to participate in the monthly, drop-in Grief & Healing Support Group at the Ashby Free Public Library. Facilitated by grief counselor Karen Campbell, this support group offers a safe space to share experiences of the grief journey. This group is an opportunity to learn more about the grief process and strategies for managing grief. Confidentiality is respected and honored.
The Grief & Healing Support Group honors all types of grief, including grief due to loss, change and transitions. In recognition that grief has no time frame, those who grieve are welcomed at any time in their journey.

Caregiver’s Support Group
Tuesday October 17th at 2 PM
Caregivers of all types are invited to participate in our monthly caregivers’ support group. Enjoy comfort and support in a nonjudgmental setting. Light refreshments will be served.
Creeque Alley
Thursday October 19th at 6 PM
Creeque Alley, an Acoustic duo featuring local musicians Sean Fullerton and Dan Kirouac, pay tribute to traditional American Folk and "Feel Good" Flower Power Folk Rock hits from 1960 - 1969. Using a variety of guitars, harmonicas, and tight two-part vocal harmonies, Creeque Alley performs the songs with instrumental and vocal accuracy, and adds educational information about each song, along with a bit of humor throughout the performance. Please join us for a fun evening.
