Celebrate your Independence this week at the Library.
Hi Friends,
I hope everyone has exciting plans for the week of July 4th! If your plans include relaxing at the beach or spending time with family, make sure to stop by the library to pick up a book to enjoy or perhaps a DVD to keep the kids entertained in the car. We have a fantastic selection waiting for you, so come and make the most of your holiday week with a trip to the library! I hope to see all of you at the bonfire.
Library will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The library will be open all of the regular hours and for all of the regular activities on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Story hour, Lego Club and play group will all be held as normal. If you can’t make it in before you go away for the holiday, give us a call or email ashbylibrary@cwmars.org and we can put your books and other materials out in the 24/7 pick up box.
For those of you who are new in town, Ashby traditionally celebrates the holiday with a July 3rd bonfire at Allen Field. There will be food, including the Library’s favorite Taco Truck, vendors, and local representatives. This is a wonderful celebration of our community.

First Friday Movie Night Friday July 5th at 8:30 PM on the Town Common
Due to the busy holiday week, we are trying something new this month. We will be showing our movie outside on the common. Because it doesn’t get dark until later, our movie will start at 8:30 and will be geared to the older children in our viewing audience. Stand By Me is a timeless summer movie. It is about friendship and adventure. Based on a book by Stephen King and Directed by Rob Reiner this is not a film for little ones. If you love Stranger Things, this is a movie for you.
Pack your blanket, some snacks and bug spray and join us on the common.
Saturday July 6th Pajama Movie
Join us on Saturday morning at 10:30 in your jammies for a fun morning movie. Jen will have fun breakfast snacks to enjoy with the movie. Please join us for comfy morning fun.
